"We’re going to steal 160 gallons of ice cold beer and basically turn those chicks into our sex slaves! Until they turn 23, that’s when chicks go rotten".
Odds are if you love Workaholics than you love beer, too. We’re also willing to bet that you started loving beer before you were 21 and had to finagle every which way you could to obtain this wonderful icy cold beverage, until that magical birthday. In this episode three lovely (and under legal drinking age) girls have this very problem and our three favorite jack asses were there to save… well almost save the day. Instead of just buying it for them they decide they’re going to steal a shit ton of suds from a near-by delivery truck.
Well, as we could have guessed, problems and hilarity ensue. Things go from bad to worse… unless you like to laugh at others' misfortune. Then you were probably enjoying the homeboy’s shenanigans as much as we were. Solid episode with some great bro-banter, so let’s get to the review!
Blake
C+ Another ‘ehhh’ performance by him (see last week's post) but most of his dialogue was designed to drive the plot. Adam’s supreme horniness for the young girls was the counter point to Blake’s sexual apathy. When the two are accidentally locked in the back of the delivery truck the back and fourth they have about their dicks is pretty much a text book example of what makes this show great. Other than that, he was just above average this go ‘round.
Adam
A+ He was on a wicked hot roll in this episode, not to mention it was his best performance/one-liners of the season. As a result he got quote of the night honors, at the top of this post, and when he tries to stop the leaky beer hose at brewery (after the truck gets locked inside) by plugging it with his mouth, the audience were rolling. We also lost it during the mentioned back-and-fourth with Blake when he explains that when he ejaculates, he ejaculates tears because it’s sad what he’ll do to get sex. The whole conversation was a Workaholics instant classic mostly because of Adam. Well played, dude.
Anders
B- Although most of his dialogue was basically aimed at keeping the young-ins occupied while his partners in crime worked at stealing the beer, he was pretty funny on a few occasions. Offering to give the girls a kissing lesson, even though he “was pretty sure they were bad at it” was pretty funny and how he kept dissing them trying to be cool, especially when he calls them pigs during the initial meeting. Chicks dig that.
Karl
A His part was pretty small in this episode but he delivered in all his scenes. The running bit about garbage lasagna from Buca Di Beppo was epic and when he poops in the adult diaper he’s wearing to get the brewery security guards off their asses we nearly lost… well, nearly lost our shit. Turns out you can’t trust dumpster lasagna like you used to.
“Beer Heist”
A- They seem to finally be finding their stride this year and this episode was another step down the path of sustained laughs week in and week out. It was as good or just slightly better than any other chapter this season. The plan to steal beer, getting stuck on the truck, and then getting locked in a brewery was total teen-comedy, but with a Workaholics twist. Sure an idea like this had kind of been done before (Superbad anyone?) but the banter was in full effect and enough to make the story feel fresh. The chicks were hot, too.
Extra Credit
- Adam, to the young hotties, “I got a big dick. It’s huge, rahhhh, down there, it’s scary. That’s why I was walking funny earlier, it’s hurts to walk.”
- Karl pooping his pants and then jumping into the hot tub full of beer they were supposed to be giving to the girls.
- Anders’ repeated and failed attempts to spite game.
- Adam’s plain navy colored hoodie that had multiple corndogs printed on the front pocket.
Demerits
- Blake being a pussy when it came to getting pussy.
- Wanted just a little more Karl, he was cracking us up!
