"Even good men have secrets."- Bruce

Sorry for the delay on this recap, Bat fans! I caught a virus that I'm pretty certain could double as the Bubonic Plague, and I was suffering silently - okay, not silently, I was pretty whiney - in bed all week. But now you have twice the recaps to read as this one comes at you just in time for the season finale!
This week, The Ogre gets capped, Barbara goes a little insane, and Penguin starts a war that is sure to sets the streets of Gotham on fire. And away we go!
Edward Nygma
"Okey-doke. No body, no crime. No body, no crime." - Ed
Watching Nygma hide away body parts all calm and polite was really the best treat of the night. Though I can't help but think essentially signing that note with his damn name is going to come back to bite him.
Lucius Fox
Not much to say about the introduction of possibly one of the most adored Batman characters ever. Except that I want more. Like NOW.
Jim
"You think you know who I am? What I'm capable of? You have no idea." - Jim

Jim continues to be a background dancer at his own concert, but we did get to see him snap a little bit. Working on no sleep and hell of a lot of anger, Jim put the screws to Penguin. Angry Jim is the best Jim because we get to see him cross those lines that he typically tends to stay behind.
Overall though, Jim has become a little bit of a cardboard cutout, and I'm going to need him to get more interesting ASAP.
Fish
How dare you keep her from me!
Barbara

It's well deserved, too. Some of you might be wondering why after crying, fainting, zoning out, and then getting rescued by her savior, Jim, I'm willing to give Barb such a good grade. Well, I'll be honest, it is purely 100% about Erin Richards performance in the role. Every minute she was on screen, I was absolutely entrenched in Barbara's story in a way that I have never been before. What was she going to do? Why was she acting this way? Would she let the Ogre turn her bonkers? I usually don't give a rat's ass what Barbara is up to, but this week I could not wait to get back to her.
Sure, it probably had a lot to do with the fact that she was sharing her screen time with Milo freaking Ventimiglia, but the raw emotion Erin channeled into her performance sold me.
Bruce
Still, Bruce now has his father's face up on his investigation wall, which could open up the case in a whole new way.
Penguin
Luckily, this week was hit, and Penguin was back full force. Pitting Maroni and Falcone against each other in a fire fight that will level the city? Genius. Especially if Penguin in the only one left standing at the end.
The Anvil or the Hammer

We're back with more excitement, and this week's episode is keeping up a streak that will finish out the season strong. As sad as it was to see The Ogre go, there really is no room for him in the mob warfare that's about to hit Gotham. My one complaint is that they crammed the best story and character (Milo's The Ogre) into three episodes at the tail end of the season. I would have preferred to see these back in February when we were hitting those Season 1 doldrums.
Extra Credit
- Barbara managed to keep my interest! YAY!
- Harvey in an Italian suit? In a sex club. Hell yes!
Demerits
- Barbara just got tormented by a serial killer and all Jim can talk about is how he would have done everything exactly the same? That's cold, bro.
- Seriously, WHERE is Fish?
